The Cooperative Driver Testing Program (CDTP) authorizes CDTP-certified traffic education teachers to administer Department of Justice knowledge and road tests and directly issue Learner Licenses to students enrolled in a state-approved driver education course.

Montana educator licenses expire on June 30 of the year indicated and the instructor may not legally teach traffic education beyond September 30 without renewal.
